In the New Testament, the term "God" usually references the Father (not the Trinity as a whole), and "Lord" usually references the Lord Jesus Christ (see again 1 Cor 8:6). … The Nicene understanding is also called "the monarchy of the Father" - a potentially confusing term, but check the following link for more explanation:
