Oct 31, 2021 at 15:01 | comment | added | Ken Graham♦ | Please note the following: For over a century, St Louis de Montfort’s works on the Treatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin remained completely hidden and mysteriously concealed. Although St Louis wrote the book in the early 1700s, it was only in 1842 (April 22, 1842) that the manuscript was unearthed by a librarian at the mother-house of the Montfort Fathers at St. Laurent-sur-Sèvre, France. It was first published in 1843. At this moment in time, this is his own personal belief. Many of his points have not received papal assent.

There are a few saints in favour of promoting this doctrine, amongst them are St. Louis Marie de Montfort and St. Maximillian Marie Kolbe. The Holy See has yet to make a decision one way or another on this. For Pope Francis this is not an pressing matter and takes no interest in it.
