About

Greetings! My name is Adam and I am a life-long devotee of love, knowledge, and spreading the spark of interest and education to any and all I can reach!

I was raised a Christian and was educated in parochial schools and Catholic education centers for most of my formative years. It was a marvelous opportunity, but eventually I came to appreciate the deep spiritual potential of agnosticism. I have a love affair with religion, philosophy and the sacred scriptures of the world. I read the Bible every day, as well as the Quran, the Vedas, the Sutras, the Tao Te Ching, Chuang tau, Analects, the Book of Mormon, and everything else I can get my hands on. You can always find me with my nose buried in the latest scholarship relating to the historical Jesus, the development of the Early Church, the Summa Theologica (by St. Thomas Aquinas), the writings of our founding fathers, the latest journal of science, and so much more. I have also had a deep reverence for the writing of Nietzsche, Spinoza, Heraclitus, Epicurus, and the mystics of the world.

My personal beliefs tend to revolve around an unending love and recognition of the unity and equality of human kind, the benefits of our world heritage, and the need for all of us to understand from where the other person is coming. I know not all issues would be resolved if we listened closely to one another, but I refuse to believe that I can't learn anything from each and every person I meet and each and every moment I live. I've learned some of the most important lessons from my friends and companions that are considered to be "stupid" or "ignorant". Often times wisdom is in found in the least expected of places.

My personal credentials are a BA in philosophy from Saint Anselm College that included a deep and comprehensive exploration of theology, Christian philosophy, and biblical scholarship, a BA in Film Studies, and a Masters in Education with a focus on technology leadership (i.e. distance learning, etc.). I have spent the last fifteen years of my life pouring over the great thinkers and doers of world history, and have accumulated quite a library (it now fills an entire spare bedroom with seven full size bookcases!). My shelves are stacked with scriptures, philosophy, science texts, history, and scholarship relating to these fields.

I hope to one day start a blog that looks deeply into the intersection of science, philosophy, and spirituality, and how these great areas of thought inform and enrich each other.

I am very excited to be a part of this site. The level of integrity and mutual respect that I see here is exemplary. I hope to be able to add to that atmosphere and share with the fruits of my years of education and research. More importantly, I look forward to learning much more than I could ever hope from reading the many pages of insight found here. Thank you for having me!
