Jan 3, 2020 at 12:41 comment added jong ricafort There are so many New Adam like Christ in the history of the Church. Adam was sinless in the order of nature, while all the incorruptible saints & mystics are sinless in the order of grace. And even blameless or cleansed of the stain of sin thru Eucharistic Life. Jan 2, 2020 at 20:11 comment added Geremia @Grasper Of course we need to strive toward perfection (Mt. 5:48: "Be you therefore perfect"), but mankind does not naturally move toward perfection. We need the help of supernatural grace to become more perfect (Jn. 15:5: "without me [without, e.g., His grace] you can do nothing."), but some people don't have God's grace.
Jan 2, 2020 at 20:08 comment added Geremia @Grasper The condemned proposition also mentions "the ungodly" (impii homines), which includes some people on earth.
Jan 2, 2020 at 20:08 comment added Grasper Is state of grace or grace in general also a denial of original sin? Clearly, humans are called to progress to perfection, that's not a denial of the original sin. Or are you saying we need to stay sinful because of the original sin. After the baptism we all evolve towards perfection or at least we should or can.
