Oct 5, 2016 at 1:10 | comment | added | manwill | Probably tough to find a solid sources on this one as the terms "unclean spirit" and "evil spirit" are used in a variety of ways (sometimes synonymously, but not always). For example, they may refer to the 3rd part of the hosts of heaven who followed Satan, or they may refer simply to someone living a life of sin. From a biblical standpoint, "unclean" could refer to someone who wasn't "clean" under mosaic law. I would also imagine that many people in biblical times labeled as having unclean or evil spirits simply had mental illnesses not fully understood at the time. | |
