Imagine the Bible without the gospels, without the Old Testament, without any of the New Testament but Paul...and then imagine Paul, just as egotistical, but now as a legalist. If you present Mohammed's understanding without the criticism to most Christians they will agree with him. So Mohammed might well have understood how the Christians he encountered understood the Trinity. In fact it is often difficult to distinguish between Islamic and Christian fundamentalist thinking. And that is the point of this question. A curious feature is that Christians see Paul very much like Muslims see Mohammed - perfect in every way. | |
