On Stack Exchange, we believe the core moderators should come from the community, and be elected by the community itself through popular vote. We hold regular elections to determine who these community moderators will be.

Community moderators are accorded the highest level of privilege on our community, and should themselves be exemplars of positive behavior and leaders within the community.

Our general criteria for moderators is as follows:

  • patient and fair
  • leads by example
  • shows respect for their fellow community members in their actions and words
  • open to some light but firm moderation to keep the community on track and resolve (hopefully) uncommon disputes and exceptions

Every election has three phases:

  1. Nomination
  2. Primary
  3. Election

Please participate in the moderator elections by voting, and perhaps even by nominating yourself to be a community moderator!

My name is Ken Graham and I would like to serve this community as a moderator.

Somewhat hesitant at first to do so because there are very big shoes to fill on this site. Nathaniel, Caleb and El'endia Starman have all done a tremendous job at bringing a fair and truly Christian atmosphere to the site, while at same time have remained firm and charitable to all. I hope to simply follow in their steps in a honest, clear and charitable manner, while fostering respect and understanding to all you knock at the door!

I am seventh in total reputation on this site. In editing, I am only superseded by Curiousdanii! While not being on this site as long as some, I have a done a high number of voting as well as raising flags. I am frequently seen on meta.

While there is still much to learn, I believe I have much to contribute to this site and am willing to work with other moderators to foster a genuinely healthy Christian community at Christianity SE.

Meh, I nominate myself. Qualifications, qualifications. Experience, achievements (or lack thereof), etc. Not sure what I'll do if actually elected.

Hi I'm Dannii, and I'd love to be considered for a moderation position. I have loved this site since joining it six years ago, and visit almost every day. I think this site has mastered the idea of respectful discussion between the various branches of Christianity, and indeed the wider world also.

But loving this site isn't all that a moderator needs. I am one of the most committed users of community moderation on this site: I have one of the highest flag counts, the most edits, third highest voter, and a very high Meta participation. I would like to believe that my interactions with other users on this site has been very fair.

I live in Australia and so as part of the international mod team can help ensure that issues get promptly dealt with no matter the time.

This election is over.
