If God intends to destroy Jesus would he be able to prevent Him?
If God intends to destroy me, you, us all - who would be able to prevent Him?
The question is: Can anyone prevent Him? Can Jesus prevent God from destroying him or all that is on earth and in the Heavens
Edit with references:
The problem in this discussion is the idea of trinity. That 3 seperate beings have the same will. Also the idea that God has taken a son.
Regarding the idea of having the same will. If Jesus has the same will as his Lord then why does he say in John 8: 50
But I seek not my own glory: There is one that seeketh and judgeth.
and John 8: 54
Jesus answered: If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father that glorifieth me, of whom you say that he is your God.
Regarding Jesus saying Father: The answer is also in John where he explains the concept of father. Where he talks about taking the devil as a father, about if taking God as your Father and about hearing the words of God. He even says I came not of myself but He sent me. Again implying that - They have seperate wills and that Jesus has no power except by The Will of God. He is but a servant of God and not His Son.
John 8: 41
You do the works of your father. They said therefore to him: We are not born of fornication: we have one Father, even God
John 8: 42
Jesus therefore said to them: If God were your Father, you would indeed love me. For from God I proceeded, and came; for I came not of myself, but he sent me.
John 8: 44
You are of your father the devil , and the desires of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he stood not in the truth. Because truth is not in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar , and a father thereof.
John 8: 47
He that is of God, heareth the words of God. Therefore you hear them not, because you are not of God.
In regards about the original question. If God intends to destroy Jesus would he be able to prevent Him? referencing to John 8: 42 He would be able as it was He that sent him. He did not come of himself then he would not be able to prevent his destruction either.
I do not want to divert you from your religion only this trinity has no place in your religion.
Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. Surah An-Nisa - ayat 171
Again a reminder: The Aramaic word for "God" in the language of Assyrian Christians is ʼĔlāhā, or Alaha. Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, use the word "Allah" to mean "God"
