This question already has an answer here:
"Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed by the signs in heaven; For the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth the tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of a worksman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and gold; they fasten it with nails and hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palmtree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good." (Jeremiah 10:2-5; KJV)
Can anyone answer this with scripture? (Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.) Why do we celebrate Christmas with a tree? Or at all for that matter?
