The book of Esther famously does not mention God anywhere, unlike any other book in the Bible. (Note: This is only true of the Hebrew version, the Greek additions do mention God.) However, there are four instances of acrostics of the name of God, YHWH. Dr. Bullinger in particular has made a big deal out of this, see his article "The Name of Jehovah in Esther." However my instinct is to be skeptical. Is there evidence that these acrostics are deliberate and not coincidental?

Quoting explicit examples (or even a full list) of the acrostics would improve the question. Commented Dec 6 at 21:59
  • Dark, The Song of Solomon also does not explicitly speak of God. Commented Dec 7 at 19:00
