The problem is that 'Science' does not recognize supernatural events, and the same scientists who say a global flood impossible teach a global ice age. As creation scientists Ken Ham and Kent Hovind and others point out - secular scientists make a lot of assumptions that present rates and processes are constant- re everything from rate of dust on the moon, to salt in the seas & erosion of Niagara falls. Scientists 'date' the strata in the grand canyon as being deposited over millions of years, but can't explain "polystrate" fossils, vertical tree trunks in multiple layers. | |

My question remains and is partly motivated by the starlight and time problem - if the stars were created on day 4 how could we see the stars because of their distance, especially events like supanova which occurred hundreds of thousands of years ago. | |

Scripture says that on day 7 God rested from all that he had created. So not on the Sabbath, and not before day 1. Creation started at Genesis 1:1, which was part of the first literal day. God creating the heavens and earth ex-nihilo, and the sun, stars, planets created on day 4. I don't see how that doesn't answer your question, brother. He created physics, he's the same God that made the sun stand still in Joshua 10:12-14. Cheers | |

According to verse 2, the earth 'was become/became' a confusion and existed in darkness. God spoke on day one, thereby revealing Light (Truth) for that which could receive it as a remedy for the darkness and confusion that the earth came to exist in. "...And the evening and the morning were the first day." So, an alternative question might be "what was revealed on day 1?". | |
