However I agree it’s not Law though it serves its purpose to point to the gospel. “but that Israel who pursued a law that would lead to righteousness did not succeed in reaching that law. Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over the stumbling stone,” Romans 9:31-32 so in part I’m sure we agree. It is my conviction that faith is action “but you do not believe... My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:26-27

Jul 8, 2019 at 3:42 | comment | added | Nigel J | 'To keep the moral law' ? ? ? Where do you find that, sir ?
Jul 7, 2019 at 22:53 | comment | added | user43409 | Precisely. If we strip out the ceremonial aspect, we are left with just moral laws in the Torah which exactly what Acts 15 says!
Jul 7, 2019 at 22:50 | comment | added | Clark Radford | Well, just because you can't follow one or two of them doesn't mean you can't follow any of them. What about - Do not eat worms found in fruit on the ground - Leviticus 11:42 - why is that one impossible to follow?
Jul 7, 2019 at 22:41 | comment | added | user43409 | Get to work doing what - can you create another "ark of the covenant" despite Jer 3:16. Can you recover the actual lineage of Levi? Neither you nor anyone else can. That would be a miracle of God which definitely beyond human means!
Jul 7, 2019 at 22:38 | comment | added | Clark Radford | Yes, they would have to be preserved, I would encourage people who say they fear God to get to work immediately.
Jul 7, 2019 at 22:34 | comment | added | user43409 | Further, If God wanted us to keep the OT Torah and its laws, then these essential ceremonial elements would have been preserved.
Jul 7, 2019 at 22:31 | comment | added | user43409 | No, I said it is impossible to do so because the temple does not exist and the Levitical priesthood does not exist and all records are lost so it cannot be traced. Not even highly conservative Jews do this.
Jul 7, 2019 at 22:30 | comment | added | Clark Radford | Yes, its seems you are saying that Christians don’t need to follow Gods commandments from the old testament because it would be difficult to do so.
Jul 7, 2019 at 22:28 | comment | added | user43409 | True - but is that germane to this question?
Jul 7, 2019 at 22:26 | comment | added | Clark Radford | Obeying Gods word is not supposed to be easy, he turned lots wife into a pillar of salt for looking in the wrong direction. No?
