comment What is the earliest non-Judeo-Christian reference to Jesus?
Note that while #1 is pretty much all that the writer had to say about Jesus, #2 and #3 are excerpts from much longer discussions in the original. Not faulting curiousdanii here, Pliny especially had a fairly extensive discussion. Just want to emphasize that the sentence or two quoted is not the entire discussion.

comment Why did Ananias die?
... SOME indication that Peter was, in fact, wrong. The plain reading is that Peter's statement is true.

comment Why did Ananias die?
Well, I suppose. Or (d) he died of a sudden heart attack that was a complete coincidence and had nothing to do with the real estate deal. Or (e) Peter had poisoned him. Or (f) Of course non-Christians would say that the text is inaccurate or misleading in one way or another. But if we take the text to be an accurate account of what happened, we have Peter's statement that Ananias told this lie, so if Ananias made no such claim than Peter is lying or mistaken. Such an interpretation would be highly strained. Surely if that was what the writer intended to convey, he would have included ...

comment What do non-fundamentalists believe about the Bible?
I agree that "non-Fundamentalists" is a very large and diverse group. I'd question whether Fundamentalists are a "very small minority". Surveys get mired in definitions, but pretty routinely about 30-35% of Americans describe themselves as "born again", which is probably a large overlap with Fundamentalists. Then we get into questions about what the definition of "Christian" is to say what percentage this is of the total. Anyway, the question is surely answerable by saying "Group A believe this, Group B believe that" etc. I don't think there's all that broad a difference of opinion on this.

comment Where do Christian doctrines state that God, being supernatural, can never be detected by science?
A statement like "God is not detectable by science" cries out for clarification. What do you mean by "detectable" and "science"? Apologists routinely offer scientific evidence that they believe substantiates the Bible. The definition of science involves experiment and observation. If someone asks God to perform a miracle and God responds -- like Pharaoh or Gideon, for example -- that would seem to be a scientific testing of God.

While I agree that the question has a false premise, I don't see this as a reason to close it. Wouldn't the appropriate answer be to point out the falsity of the premise?

comment What is considered chaste behaviour from a Catholic perspective?
Tangential note: The reason that Protestants don't "remember" the story of Tobias is because we do not have the book of Tobias in our Bible, so most Protestants have never read it.

comment How old were Joseph & Mary when they marrried?
Quite true, I don't think we're disagreeing. It is quite possible that Mary was in her mid teens when she got married, arguably even likely, as that was common at the time. My point is just that, to the best of my knowledge, we don't have any document from the times that says, so we don't know. For all we know she could have been an old spinster. :-)

Not saying that you said otherwise, but just to be clear: The Code of Canon Law was written centuries after Mary and Joseph, so would not have applied to them. And in any case, any law that sets a minimum age tells us at most that they were AT LEAST this age, not that they were EXACTLY this age. And even at that we can't be sure that they didn't break the rules, with or without some official exemption.

comment When is it too late to ask for salvation?
Late comment: While the Bible certainly does have accounts of deathbed conversions -- the thief on the cross being the premier example -- Constantine was not such a case. He was converted in AD 311, and died in AD 337.
