comment How do Christians justify their belief and how do they convince others of their belief?
@Sven Although I do have my bias in practice, I try to consider both theism and atheism as equally probable. What should that be called? Neutral agnosticism? ;-)

@DavidStratton Thanks a lot :) It's been very interesting to read for me because I'm in a somewhat similar position (16 years old, stopped being a Christian, now doing research on the topic) although I'm not going as far as declaring myself an atheist but instead have decided to become an agnostic.

Can you elaborate a bit more on "God's invitation"? How do you receive it? Does everybody receive it?

By the way: The comparison to love is good and gave me a very new perspective to the whole thing. Thanks for the good answer!

Are you saying that once you believe in the foundational Christian beliefs, you can logically justify only their implications or also the foundational beliefs themselves?

Although I appreciate that you care so much about the value of the content on SE sites, I would still like to hear your personal story. Maybe you can post it in some other place?

Although I understand your points that Christians don't live by blind faith, is it correct to say that they, at some point, have to start with blind faith?

I understand your concerns.. Do you have any suggestions how I can make the question more specific?

I considered the fact that a possible answer might be too long. However, I think, since every Christian should have this answer in mind at all times, the length of the answer should be short enough to fit in. @jimreed Your point is very interesting - but how is it possible that I, for example, don't notice anything of God's invitation?
