comment Is God cruel if he allows Satan to hurt us?
Hello and thank you for your question. The mission of our site is to answer factual questions about Christianity. We are not able to answer more personal questions. We invite you to consult your local church, pastor, priest, mentor, or other trustworthy counselor. However, the root of your question - how an all-knowing, all-powerful, all-loving God could allow evil to exist has already been addressed on the site.

comment How do creationists explain some recent hominid discoveries
@DickHarfield There's Is there an explanation for pre-humans from a biblical point of view? but yours is scoped better, I'll admit.

comment How do creationists explain some recent hominid discoveries
btw, my issue with this question is solely that it's the same question asked several times in the past, with only slightly different details. It's nothing new. See What is the guideline for near-duplicates that are duplicate by pattern, but not in specifics? for why I think these types of questions are not particularly useful. (However, I never got more than one answer with only on up-vote. I wish the community would weigh in.)

@DickHarfield if you're looking for a "satisfactory answer", I'd like to remind you that we're not here to convince you.. We're solely focused on what various groups believe/teach, not whether it's personally convincing to you.

comment How do creationists explain some recent hominid discoveries
@Steve - Can you turn that into a cohesive answer? This question is nothing new,it's the same tired-old question of how to YEC adherents understand X timeline believed by non YEC adherents, just re-prhased with "modern discoveries". It should be simple to address this.

comment What parallel Russian / Slavonic - English prayer books for Orthodox are there?
See christianity.stackexchange.com/help/dont-ask. Key part: "All answers equally valid". If you can find a way to phrase it so that it's not likely to get equally valid answers if you get more than one, you're covered. I also answered more fully in the Meta post. Thank you for asking, by the way! I'm glad you cared enough to ask.

comment Is the Holy Spirit the 'Seven Spirits' in Revelation 1:4?
Hi, it's apparent that you want to participate, but may not quite get what the site is about. I have a few links to help you along.: Newcomers: Be patient. You will get there if you follow our direction. Keep trying, help center, and How we are different than other sites?. No offense, but I'm going to delete this simply because it doesn't match the scope of the site, but don't let that discourage you. Most of us didn't "get" this site at first, me included.

I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because Speculating about God's motives are off-topic here.
