Why does/did God do something questions are off-topic here.

comment Why don't young-earth creationists just explain things (usually considered as miracles) as miracles?
Uh... They do. Perhaps a bit more research to see if all creationists try to explain away the flood before assuming they all do based on "some".

comment Is the Catholic Church actively preparing for the contact with a highly advanced sentient alien species?
This answer would be acceptable if you could add references showing that this is a common understanding, and who teaches/believes it. On this site, we're not looking for personal interpretation, but rather focusing on what various Christian groups teach. See How we are different than other sites? and What makes a good supported answer?

comment Was there a reason why God sent Jonah to Nineveh and not some other city?
As it is, it reads like a personal interpretation rather than an established teaching. See How we are different than other sites? and What makes a good supported answer?

comment Does the Anglican Church allow you to receive Baptism in some church but attend in another church for Eucharist?
No, it wasn't, but I finished editing it to bring it on-topic. The distinction is focusing on what various traditions teach not whether something is a sin. See Tips for editing a question to make it suitable for re-opening I've also re-opened and deleted the now-obsolete comments.

comment what is the christian perspective of marijuana?
This question is almost a complete copy/paste of your answer (now deleted) on the other question, so I know you were aware of the other question. I assume you're just unaware that posting duplicate questions is frowned upon. You're welcome to participate, but please take some time to learn how the site works first.

Hi, it's apparent that you want to participate, but may not quite get what the site is about. I have a few links to help you along.: Newcomers: Be patient. You will get there if you follow our direction. Keep trying, help center, and How we are different than other sites?.

comment Jesus' visit to the Feast of Tabernacles
Please see Types of questions that are within community guidelines and Tips for editing a question to make it suitable for re-opening There's a good question in here, but as it's worded, it's open to anyone's opinion. Questions on this site need to be definitively answerable by something other than opinion or personal interpretation. You could phrase it to ask how some specific group interprets that. (Again see the second link for tips on editing this to be reopened)

comment How do new converts to Christianity learn about the Bible, Christian faith, and Christian practices?
@Andrew - sorry, what I meant about asking in Meta was that you should ask a "why was this question closed as too broad" question. Comments are a bad medium for answering that, particularly if you want a detailed explanation. I'd be happy to answer your question there, but not in comments.

comment How do new converts to Christianity learn about the Bible, Christian faith, and Christian practices?
@Andrew - If you disagree with a closing of a question, ask a question on Meta to get community involvement and it'll be addressed there. See this for guidance. That said, I think your question has a very good chance of being reopened. I'm just not going to cast a vote to do so because I'm a moderator and one vote would do it. It's better for the community to do these things.

@Andrew by definition: "There are either too many possible answers..."

comment What should be a Christian's attitude when his prayers are not answered?
Please do not answer old off-topic questions. it bumps them to the top of the home page and it's the first thing new visitors see. Then we have to do double-time educating them about site standards, and they get frustrated: "Well then why was that question allowed to be open?" See Can I get feedback on a suggestion for cleaning up old off-topic posts?
