comment Evidence towards Christianity
While this is my favorite area of study within the faith, this question s a bit broad. There are thousands of resources available to you in the field of apologetics. I'd suggest breaking this down into evidences for more specific events, searching the site to see if someone has already asked it, and asking more specific questions if thy haven't been asked. Before you do, check out the help page, How we are different than other sites?

This doesn't answer the question. The question asked whether the Catholic Church requires penance, not for a diatribe against religion. "I believe..." isn't an acceptable answer, since this site isn't about personal interpretation. See How we are different than other sites? and What makes a good supported answer?

Welcome to the site! This answer would be a lot better if you could add references showing that this is a common understanding, and who teaches/believes it. Remember that "I believe it means..." isn't an acceptable answer, since this site isn't about personal interpretation. According to whom? There are several views on how the end-times will roll out. We do our best to try to understand the Scriptures and what they say about the end times, but remember that Christ was predicted and they were expecting one thing and got another. Who's to say who's right now? It would be helpful if you could narrow this down to a specific view. The truth is that there is no unanimous agreement, making this an "opinion" question as it stands.

I hope you don't mind, but I took the time to edit all of your answers into one, in the order that you originally posted them. I also flagged a moderator to clean up the other answers that were copy/pasted into this one. Feel free to edit your post to clean it up.

comment Christian pagan roots
This question appears to be off-topic because it is about general history, not Christian doctrine, teachings, or specific Christian history. It mentions the Jewish calendar and the Roman, so it's not really concerning Christianity at all,as far as I can tell.

Please refrain from posing multiple answers. A single answer can be as long as you need it to be to coverall your points. Consider editing these answers into one,and deleting the extras. Also, as a new visitor, I'd recommend checking out the following two posts, which are meant to help newcomers "learn the ropes": help page and How we are different than other sites?
