Welcome to the site! This next has nothing to do with the quality of your answer, it's just standard to help new visitors avoid misunderstanding the site (as I did at first.) As a new visitor, I'd recommend checking out the following two posts, which are meant to help newcomers "learn the ropes": the help page and How we are different than other sites?

comment LDS proving connection with KJV
That said, I need to point out that "who is right and who is wrong" is off-topic here. See: the help page, How we are different than other sites?. This question also falls, in my opinion, very close to what we call Pastoral Advice Questions. Feel free to ask questions, just focus on ones that are not opinion-based.

I can identify, as I almost joined the LDS Church and had the same nagging doubts. However, this is the wrong place to come asking what you should decide. However, this site is an excellent resource for finding what the various denominations actually teach. I'd suggest poking around and seeing if questions that you have, have already been asked. Learn what the LDS Church teaches, what others teach. This site is an excellent resource for information without the infighting and the "I'm right, you're a heretic" you'll get at other sites.

comment How do Christians reconcile Deuteronomy 13:1-4 with their belief in the abrogation of the Mosaic law?
That would be a different question, and if you're looking fr something that ẃill convince you, personally, you're on the wrong site. I truly mean no offense, but we're not here to convince you.. You asked for the basis for resolving an apparent discrepancy, which I gave. The fact that it is unsatisfying is unfortunate, but proving points is not within the guidelines for the site. I'd ask that second question, or edit this one to ask for more.

The first paragraph answers exactly that. It's interpreted as being applicable to the nation of Israel, not the Church. The rest shows the basis of that interpretation.

I'm sorry, but we don't answer questions like this. Mostly because we don't trust ourselves. With questions like yours we want you to go talk to someone in real life. Your pastor or priest, a trusted friend, or someone in your church that you trust. It's not that we don't want to help, but on the contrary, we don't feel that it's in anyone's best interest to try to do so on this site. For more info, please see this post: Pastoral Advice Questions

comment If I was christened am I not Catholic?
I'd be interested to know what would invalidate membership to the catholic Church... Merely attending other denominations once in a while? Joining another denomination? Something else?
