comment Who are the many nations that Abraham was called by God, 'the father' of?
@Hello Edit the question. While it's in edit mode, you can edit the tags.

comment Where did the Roman Catholic denomination in India originate, and why are there differences amongst Indian Christians?
I think he means denominations. I also think that's been asked already, but I'm on my phone and that's too limited to search.

comment Why does Abraham treat the three visitors in this way?
This question appears to be off-topic because it is about Jewish customs - and it's also cross-posted on both sites. cross posting is not allowed on StackExchange sites

comment When were the early Christians no longer considered a sect of Judaism?
@JayarathinaMadharasan - I think it does provide an answer to the question... "They're still a sect" seems to be a valid attempt to answer the original question... It may be his own opinion on it, and the "answer" certainly lacks external references, but it's not like he was attempting to answer something completely different. My instinct tells me not to delete this as "not an answer" and let the down-votes speak for themselves.

comment Why does Abraham treat the three visitors in this way?
This is three questions, not one. The first two are completely off-topic as speculative, and the third is off-topic because it's not about Christianity. being OT, it might be on topic at Mi Yodeya, but I'm not sure it's on-topic there either. Would you be interested in having me migrate it there if they're open to it?.

comment Did Jesus ascend to Heaven twice?
This answer would be a lot better if you could add references showing that this is a common understanding, and who teaches/believes it. On this site, we're not looking for personal interpretation, but rather focusing on what various Christian groups teach. See How we are different than other sites? and What makes a good supported answer?

comment Are there any churches that don't teach Paul or Trinitarianism?
This is two distinct questions, one of which is already answered here, the other answered here.

Yes, I know Genesis is the source. That's why I knew it's accurate. I'm familiar with the passages, but not everyone is. Please take this next as me trying to be helpful, not snarky. Take a look around the site. Good answers include the relevant verses in the answer, so that others don't need to go look it up and wonder "where did they get that from?". This is where your answer comes up short of site standards. See also, What makes a good supported answer?

I want to vote this up as accurate, but you've cited no references. Please add them.

@bruisedreed - You're right. Thank you for the correction. I changed the close reason to be more accurate.

Welcome to the site! As a new visitor, I'd recommend checking out the following two posts, which are meant to help newcomers "learn the ropes": help page and How we are different than other sites?. This question isn't really a good fit for this site. "Why did God..." questions are really not answerable by anything other than speculation unless God's motives are explained in Scripture.

comment Why did God need to plant the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the garden of Eden in the first place?
Closing because this does not fit current guidelines.

comment What is the biblical basis for the Shemitah not applying to Christians today?
Because it is opinion based. See this post for clarification. And for the second, it's not a discussion forum, or a place to get opinions from other users. It's a Q and A with a very specific format, explained in my links.

Welcome to the site. However, it seems you've mistaken the purpose of this site. I hope you choose to participate further, but before you do, you should read How we are different than other sites? and then the help page and We can't handle the truth. This is an opinion-based question, and we just don't do opinion questions here.

comment Which Protestant denominations support the position that Peter is the rock that Jesus builds his church upon?
Ah. By that last part, all I meant is that I can't guarantee that no Protestant denominations teach that. I included that caveat because I understand that just because I'm not aware of any doesn't mean they don't exist.

Just wondering why you think Protestants are divided on this. It may be the case, I'm not sure, but usually it's Protestants disagreeing with Catholics on this.
