I'm a hobbyist programmer, part-time sysadmin, and full-time data center management, automation, and cloud computing architect and delivery engineer.

I have experience with myriad editors, shells, and OSes. While I have my [strong] preferences, am pretty much beyond the religious wars of "what's best" when it comes to platform, editor, or toolset: if it works for the problem at hand, and you know it, it's [probably] worthwhile :)

comment Should a Protestant read the apocryphal books of the Bible?
should a Protestant read anything other than the Bible? I think this needs some scoping/clarification as to what kind of reading you have in mind - historical, inspired, inspiring, canonical, etc

comment If there is no Condemnation in Jesus, can Jesus reject one who rejects him?
I concur with @Dan, and have VtC because of its inherently-unanswerable current status

comment What is the Roman Catholic position on the validity of the marriage between an infertile man and infertile woman?
in addition to the comment from @StevenDoggart, you've also presumed the man and woman KNOW they are infertile, and choose to get married in spite. You've also implicitly disallowed those beyond the years of child-bearing (eg a couple in their 60s or 70s) from marrying

comment Is manhood defined in the Bible?
I've upvoted, but also VtC. Here is why: there is no "prooftext" to go to for such a definition; various Christian traditions (and even just individual churches, authors, or theologians) will have different details, or even full interpretations of this question; compiling all of the positive and negative examples of manhood (or any other "hood") are book-creating efforts, not really something that can be answered as a cohesive, coherent answer in an SE format. That said, if this were narrowed akin to, "How does <denomination> define manhood according to the Bible," it'd be fantastic!

comment Are we saved by grace or works?
@Rick - they're two sides of the same coin .. it really depends on whether you're looking at "God's side" or "man's side" :)

comment Are we saved by grace or works?
@Rick - I am saying that we are saved by grace through faith which then manifests in works (a reword of my second sentence).

@StevenDoggart - the Bible addresses gambling in many places (though not with that particular word)

comment Why does God command us to have children?
@Mawia - Genesis 9:1 to start, 'And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth."' Genesis 9:7, 35:11; Leviticus 26:1-9; Deuteronomy 6:1-3; Psalm 107:33-38; Jeremiah 29:5-7; Hebrews 6:13-14. Some are specific to individuals, others generic commands and/or references to blessing. And this is only a smattering after searching "multiply" in the NASB.
