I'm a hobbyist programmer, part-time sysadmin, and full-time data center management, automation, and cloud computing architect and delivery engineer.

I have experience with myriad editors, shells, and OSes. While I have my [strong] preferences, am pretty much beyond the religious wars of "what's best" when it comes to platform, editor, or toolset: if it works for the problem at hand, and you know it, it's [probably] worthwhile :)

Hi Patrick, and welcome to Christianity.SE! Could you elaborate more on what is in the video to make this a better answer than just, "go watch this, it'll answer it"? Thanks!

@PatFerguson - could you elaborate?

comment How do Protestants understand major differences in doctrine between denominations?
This answer has promise, but has some pretty big assumptions made about various denominations, nt all of which are correct (especially wrt Calvinistic/Amininian viewpoints)

comment Does specific authorship of a given book of the Bible “matter”?
@waxeagle - it seems this would apply to most of Christianity: what makes this "too broad"?

comment Why the difference in depiction of the cross between Catholics and Protestants?
many Protestant churches have images of Jesus in them (eg in windows, etc), but won't put a crucifix on display, preferring instead an empty cross

comment Has any prominent theologian ever explained why Jesus let a thief be in charge of the money?
@Wikis - it seemed like you were indicating that everyone knew Judas was a thief at the time, rather than after the fact. Whereas it is safest to assume only Judas and Jesus knew he was for sure.

The note in John would have been only made decades after Judas' death, given that John did not write any of his 5 books until at least the 80s.

comment How does the Catholic church deal with the differences between the God described in the old and new Testaments?
@terdon - perhaps you need to review some more on the topic :) eg, starting here: Why was Lot “let off the hook” for offering his daughters to be raped?

@terdon - who said Lot was a paragon? Furthermore, who said he never sinned?

@terdon - the account of Lot's daughters does not indicate God is not good: it showcases desperation and sin on the part of them and their father.

Welcome to Christianity.SE, Radz Matthew Co Brown. I echo @waxeagle's comment - this might make for a start of an answer, but where are you sourcing from? How does this add to the already given (and accepted) answer on the question?

comment If Christ is considered the 'Son of God' then how is He a part of a Trinity?
I think you're making a pretty big leap to indicate that "overshadow her" equates to "impregnates with an original-sin-free sperm cell"

comment Biblical basis for the doctrine of the Trinity
Welcome to Christianity.SE! While your answer is interesting, it doesn't really add anything to the other answers already provided - is there anything else you could add to make this answer anything but a restatement of what has alteady been said?
