comment Why is Saint Paul considered gnostic? (by some)
That statement is still unsourced in its original form: claiming "most" scholars believe something doesn't match anything I have read or heard in the last 30+ years about Paul and Gnosticism. That's also a quote about Markian priority - not when Acts was written (which every theologian and scholar I've ever read/heard agrees was mid-late first centrist by an eyewitness to the events).

Cite your sources when you claim "almost all New Testament scholars" believe Acts to have been written decades after Paul died.

comment What arguments are given that Ephesians was not written by Paul?
@Susan - Paul didn't found the church in Ephesus. When he came to the city, there were already disciples (Acts 19).

comment How do I interpret Joshua 10?
@Flimzy - not on this topic, no :) ...but in 3+ decades of being in and around churches of several flavors, thousands of sermons, scores of books and commentaries, etc, this is definitely brand-new (from someone claiming to be a Christian - unbelievers, of course, deny most-to-all of the miracles described in the bible)

@Flimzy - you are definitely the first person I've ever heard deny the miraculous nature of the event

comment What happened to Nebuchadnezzar's kingdom during his punishment
Saying that passage comes from the DSS is not rational - it has existed far longer in bibles and torahs around the world than the DSS was known

comment How do I interpret Joshua 10?
It clearly was a miracle, as there is no way for a natural occurrence to keep the sun still in the sky in the Middle East. As to what kind of miracle, that may be up for debate.

comment What are the main theological differences between Reformed Baptists and other Baptists?
@Thunderforge - had "general" and "reformed" backwards in my preface to the bullet points. The points listed are those that Reformed Baptists hold, compared (on some bullets) with what is more likely to be accepted or common amongst non-RB churches
