I'm a hobbyist programmer, part-time sysadmin, and full-time data center management, automation, and cloud computing architect and delivery engineer.

I have experience with myriad editors, shells, and OSes. While I have my [strong] preferences, am pretty much beyond the religious wars of "what's best" when it comes to platform, editor, or toolset: if it works for the problem at hand, and you know it, it's [probably] worthwhile :)

comment Why is Ruth's child in the line of Boaz and not Mahlon?
Boaz was not Mahlon's brother - he was a relative of the family (and not even the closest, as the account records), but was the closest who was willing to take the role of kinsman-redeemer

comment What about the story of the “Rich Man and Lazarus” indicates whether it is a parable or not?
it's also important to realize that while there are many "Christians" on this site, it is not a "Christian website" please see this meta post for more information :).

comment Why do Protestants trust what Paul and Luke wrote 100%?
@GregoryMagarshak - it seems your actual issue is with the entirety of the NT. If you believe it's unreliable, then of course you'd think Luke + Paul are unreliable.

comment Do any Catholic sources says on which side Jesus bowed his head when he died?
I echo @StevenDoggart's question - from whence do you get the idea that the direction of Christ's bowed head is of vital importance to, well, anything?

@fredsbendtheGrinch - funny this got activity after a couple years :) ..it seems that Narnian did give an argument for it being a nonparable, though also answers whether it could be a parable (imho, hence my accepting his answer those many moons ago). What about the question do think should be edited?

Welcome to Christianity.SE, Anthony! While I appreciate your answer, as it stands right now, it adds nothing to the existing (and accepted) answer on this question. Please consider how you can improve this answer to add to the site, rather than merely leaving a [poor] summary of the previous answer. Stack Exchange sites are different from other places, and taking the time to learn how we're different will benefit not only yourself, but the community.

who said it was "successful"? God knows everything - and sometimes asks questions to achieve a purpose.
