If Jesus was Sinless and had Free Will, how is the rest of creation not a mistake? We don't gloss over it. We find a being that would create suffering of many so it would be loved by a few to be reprehensible, or at least too human to have all the supposed attributes of God. And to stretch the children metaphor. If my having those children and not robots would mean that others across the globe would suffer, I would absolutely keep my robot children. To do otherwise would be incredibly selfish. |

Is it possible for an atheist to be moral? @PeterTurner: why not Vishnu, Zoroaster, Odin or other Kami? |

Is God omnipotent? I've always heard it described as anything that is possible. So things that aren't paradoxical. So, God couldn't create something that is simultaneously the hardest and softest substance to the same hand touching it at the same time. |

If Jesus was Sinless and had Free Will, how is the rest of creation not a mistake? @Richard: Actually, I intended to point out the opposite. That God must have knowingly created Humans as imperfect and sinful, and could have chosen to do the opposite. Since that was also within his power. |

Can I believe in evolution and still be a Christian? As an Atheist, I have to agree with @Vonjd. The evidence for evolution is incontrovertible. It is overwhelming to the point where it is one of two things: Either specific and intentional deceit, or the truth. (Or meant to appear as the truth if the universe were created in an Old state, which is -also- kind of deceitful.) - Let us not confuse the fact of Evolution with the Theory of Natural Selection. |

Source of Christian attitudes towards fantasy and role playing games @Max: I'm glad to see you brought up Lewis. He wrote extensively about Christianity and the fact that some have banned his books for their fantasy content has always felt unjust to me. Not that I agreed with his argument from morality. I just thought it was narrow-minded of his fellow Christians. And he seemed like a nice guy overall and I love the Narnia books. |

Just how accurate is the Bible? There is a list of historical inaccuracies at truth-saves that are worth looking at. Also a list of contradictions. They are the few sections of the site that are not simply opinions. |
