I'm a college student in Alabama about to graduate. I attend a Presbyterian (PCA) church, and have deep Calvinist theological beliefs. I enjoy talking theology with my friends, especially on the issue of baptism. I sometimes write for Christianity.SE's Eschewmenical blog.

I always heard it represented as God showing them blood is the price of sin. As (presumably) they had never seen dead animals before, they would not have missed the significance
