Is Christianity a monotheistic religion? If I may hijack this question a bit, what does the original text mean when it says "before me"? Could it be interpreted as "in my presence", as in "I don't want to see you worshiping anyone or anything else?" |

Will suicide keep me out of Heaven? @Nathan Wheeler: the important point there is having an opportunity to ask forgiveness. Many Protestant denominations would reject the idea that you must specifically ask forgiveness for each individual sin after the fact in order to be forgiven. |
