comment Do Christians receive the same inheritance as Messianic Jews?
OK, what I wrote in chat was: "The Law is not a means of salvation but a way to point out our sin. (Romans 8:3) Now I think about it, I don't think the Law was ever intended to bring us salvation because it can't. There's only Grace - Amazing as it is." We can set up a dedicated chat room or leave it there... your choice.

We should probably take this to chat... :)

I don't think Jesus' words in Mat 23 at all imply any exclusivity to salvation. Indeed, I'm sure God's grace extends to people before Abram, eg Noah.

I have to disagree with "the promise of Salvation no longer is exclusive to the Jewish Nation". I don't think it ever was; see eg Numbers 15:15-16.

I have to downvote this for two reasons. 1. The parable in Matt 20 implies people hired at all times get the same reward; your "on the other hand... neither Jew nor Greek" seems to imply otherwise. 2. Though Christians believe themselves to be "the Body of Christ", I don't see how that makes us Jews.

comment Bishops have no free will?
Well, I think it would have been better to research with some other translations first, so yes IMO. Sorry.

comment In what way does God derive pleasure from us?
This might help - in what way does any father derive pleasure from having children? I'm not sure any answer can give that justice, but it nevertheless true.

@FMShyanguya - very flattering, but no. If you look at the changes to that page since I posted this, the Appearance section is not edited. :) I think any similarity is because the verses I have quoted I quite well known to many Bible-reading Christians.

@FMShyanguya: it was a while ago when I wrote it but I think it was all original work based on my existing Bible knowledge. I don't remember ever looking at that link, prior to today.

@Mr.Bultitude - the latter. I've never attended Willow Creek but have listened to hundreds of their talks. As for other "big name" pastors, none really.

Strange that, while that link quotes lots of the Bible, it does not mention the one verse (Eph 3:17) which actually states that Jesus does live in our hearts. It even states, " The Bible nowhere mentions Jesus coming into a person’s heart."!
