How can one tell if God is in favor of a modern value or not? @DavidStratton How is this not answerable using doctrine or applications of doctrine? Is it just a limitation of the documentation on hand? |

What were people supposed to do with an incomplete or nonexistent Bible? @Caleb I meant predating the "writing" of the Old Testament. |

What were people supposed to do with an incomplete or nonexistent Bible? Were there legitimate prophets and apostles that predate the Old Testament? If so, why didn't their contributions make the Bible? |

Why did God use humans to write the Bible? I find it hard to believe there's nothing at all to reference in answering this question - this seems like a major decision on god's part and there's nothing accounting for what went into it? |

Is prayer effectively second-guessing God? If god's will is to be done either way, what outcome would the people praying in this scenario be hoping for? That they'd be thankful whether she dies or not? I'm not intending this to be rude, I'm just confused. |

Is prayer effectively second-guessing God? How about praying for someone to get better from an illness? Doesn't that presuppose that you'd rather see him change a direction he's already gone in? |

Why is rape not in the 10 commandments? It's possible to have non-consensual sex within marriage. |
