comment Are Mormons Protestants?
Very good. For further explanation read the five solas and you will see that Mormonism doesn't fit the philosophy.

comment Are there Christian denominations that are beginning a discussion about the fact that Jesus was really the son of God?
This question is circular and difficult to answer because it begs the question: what is the definition of a Christian? No doubt you will get a majority of Christians who think the answer to this is no because this would be a defining attribute of Christianity for them. Furthermore, your term "son of God" isn't well defined--there are definitely non-trinitarian Christians, for example.

comment What is to be understood by Mary being the “mother of the church”?
I support this answer, but would like to add: she is also considered to be the first Christian, and preeminant church member, that was not also God. (As noted above: "Because of this gift of sublime grace she far surpasses all creatures, both in heaven and on earth.")

comment Is the Catholic Church NOT against all birth control?
" only to methods they would consider equal to killing children who have already been conceived." This part is incorrect: the Church opposes any birth control that frustrates the marital act.

comment Is the Catholic Church NOT against all birth control?
Andrew Leach is correct--the context was homosexuality, so birth control is not involved.
