I have been programming since I was in high school, and my favorite computer was my Amiga 2000, as that is what I learned to program in C on, and was just a great computer.
I have been an advocate about unit testing since 1999, and believe we can get better code by getting before the user more frequently so we can narrow the solution to what they really want, as users don't really know what they want, initially.
I am comfortable with many languages, but am trying to understand how to program in functional languages, giving up while loops is very difficult for me in designing applications. :)
I am living in Knoxville, TN.

Why do Christians need to promote their religion to non-believers? @Yeodave - I was using it as an example, not to state all non-believers act a certain way, just as you will find self-proclaimed Christians that are adulterers and murderers. You can read whatever you want into what I write, but I am pretty consistent, I think, on what the entire message is. I guess you miss the idea of examples, as it wasn't even a generalization. |

How did the Inquisition impact modern Christianity? @MasonWheeler - When political leaders are talking about killing/jailing Muslims it is for political power. For example you can read publiceye.org/liberty/training/Muslim_Menace_Complete.pdf and this gives some good info: rightweb.irc-online.org/articles/display/… |

How do Christians explain commonalities between their religion, other major faiths and obscure isolated tribal belief systems? @Screamer - When you are in a minority, then you can't threaten, and Paul was in that boat. So, he took time to understand the Athenian beliefs in order to find an opening that he can use to help reach out to others. |

Why do Christians need to promote their religion to non-believers? @Yeodave - The NT uses gambling, adultery and drunkenness as examples, I just made it a bit more modern. |

What is unique about Christianity? Are we talking about what Jesus taught that was unique, or the religion that was formed due to those teachings? Basically, are we looking at the religion or the message? |

How do Christians explain commonalities between their religion, other major faiths and obscure isolated tribal belief systems? Baal's father was 'El, who may have been the God worshipped by Abraham, as 'El was times used to refer to YWHW and Elohim (army of 'El) is also used to refer to God. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_(deity) |

How should other churches respond to a pastor and congregation who live contrary to the Gospel? @Caleb - Thank you for your changes. I will consider writing an answer to my own question. |

How do Christians explain commonalities between their religion, other major faiths and obscure isolated tribal belief systems? Many religions are persecuted, so when Muslims are persecuted, or Hindus are persecuted, they get help from their gods also. Your answer can apply to any religion, basically. |

Is there any specific difference between a “Christian” and a 'true' disciple of Christ? How do you define a Christian, and how do you define a true disciple? |

How should other churches respond to a pastor and congregation who live contrary to the Gospel? @ThePreacher - True, but, the pastor should be able to lean on Christ to give him the love he needs to demonstrate. I keep thinking about how Jesus healed the ear of the soldier that was arresting him. |
