comment What is significant about the title of “Son of David” that was attributed to Jesus?
It also simply means that he is a King.

comment What does it mean to be “born of water” in John 3:5?
I just don't think that Greek ὕδωρ can refer to the amniotic fluid at all. Is this meaning noted at all in any lexicon or any work in Greek? If a physical birth were what is intended here, σάρξ (‘flesh’) would be much more apropos.

comment Can or should a consecrated Host be adored by way of a live Eucharistic televised broadcast?
Not detailed enough for an answer—but I would consider this equivalent to an icon of Christ.

comment What are the requirements for a Protestant joining the Catholic church?
Is confirmation/chrismation necessary for Orthodox converts? (Or even some converting Anglican clergy?) Also, the answer still seems to put eucharist before confirmation; isn't it the other way around?

comment Are there non Catholic/Orthodox churches that use a Crucifix?
Actually, the crucifix is not so commonly seen in the Orthodox tradition as the "risen" cross. Except when it is Christ's crucifixion which itself is intended to be depicted (most notably in the context of Holy Week services), the empty cross serves as a symbol of Christ's Resurrection.

comment What are the consequences of suicide according to the Roman Catholic church?
@BenRichards Good comment. I think what you mean in the last sentence is "it may not be considered mortally sinful"; though the act is still sinful whether or not it is committed with full knowledge of its sinfulness (thus making it mortal).

And the many Eastern mystics—it's a huge thing! See Wikipedia's article on hesychasm: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hesychasm
