Why were Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed? On your second point, couldn't you make the argument that the modern English word was derived from a mistaken interpretation of the passage and not the other way around? |

Which sects interpret “Day and Hour unknown” literally? Someone that adheres to open theism may go the other extreme and say God himself maybe not even know when the day or the hour is. |

Did Martin Luther take exception to the gospels in any way? Its hard to believe that since his doctrine of Sacramental union was based on the wording of the last supper in the Gospels. ... among other things |

Does the Bible give us any indication of why God created such a vast universe with so much stuff in it? @leesleek evolve is probably not the best word to use in that instance, developed maybe is better language. |

Does the Bible give us any indication of why God created such a vast universe with so much stuff in it? There is also a practical concern here, which is, if the universe was not this big (in terms of size) then the laws of physics could not exist such as they do now sustaining a solar system/planet like what we have. If there had not be as much mass then the evolution of the universe would have been different and galaxy/stars/planets would not have formed. So assuming that God wanted to create this world with the given physical characteristics, he would have had to have created at least a similarly sized universe. The variety and beauty of it is another answer though. |

Is Jesus a disciple of Buddha? You might check out Ravi Zacharias's The Lotus and the Cross which is (fictional) dialog between Jesus and Buddha, comparing and contrasting their philosophies. |

What is the status of “The Will to Believe” among contemporary philosophers? I don't know the answer to your question, but I am guessing that prob. Alvin Plantinga is going to get the closest to addressing that, perhaps Warranted Christian Belief or Knowledge of God |

How long was Jesus's ministry? Yes, agreed about Mark, reading through Mark is actually what prompted the question in fact. |

How long was Jesus's ministry? @Narnian I almost mentioned that in my question. John mentions 3 Passovers you are correct, but that would be minimum of 2 max of ? since there could have been one or more Passovers just not mentioned. |
