comment Why is faith so much more important than being a good person?
Do you think atheists and non-believers that are righteous will inherit hell? Definitely not. God is a God of Justice. Thinking you are better than an atheist or a muslim is simply not wise in my opinion. Do you think it's possible for anyone to be good if they don't have God? I don't think so. Do you think there are ranks in heaven? Most probably so - for even Christ was glorified above all other names and sits at the 'right hand of God', and He has His own throne, and those who die for Him have their own special inheritance, and those who 'lay treasures in heaven' have their inheritance.

In the big picture however, the fruit of faith is good works, and thus true faith is inseparable from good works. Saying it is more important is like killing it - i.e. saying it must not be faith. What good is a tree without fruits? It would have been a tree quite all right, but will die barren.

@Calvin: You could say so! But ultimately required is not the same thing as more important. It is not Christ's faith but His good works that places Him at the right hand of God... If you understand what I'm getting at. The fruit of faith is good works, and we can definitely not be good enough, but then our good works are like treasures in heaven. Would you then say having faith is more important?

comment How can we understand Jesus's omniscience?
I believe in the Trinity, and the Trinity doesn't claim that Jesus was only just God - else, the whole point of His coming would be useless.

And his omniscience was through God the Father

Ah, why are you saying Answers should make a wrong assumption, on earth Jesus was man as well as God.

Ah, I don't fully agree with this, are you saying Satan disrupted God's plan, that's doubting the omniscience of God.

comment In what way is God the “Father” of Jesus?
Christ is probably God's only begotten son in whom He is well pleased :)
