Is it a sin to allow oneself to become fat in the absence of medical conditions? @SanJacinto: On the contrary, I don't view your comment as negative. Anything that clarifies the gospel (and makes me think) can only be a good thing. Thanks for picking me up on this! |

What does the bible say about homosexuality? Thanks for posting. This is clearly a subject close to your heart, and your perspective is welcome here. However, I agree with @DoubtingThomas. The original question was "what does the Bible say...", not "what should a Christian response be...". You have answered the latter, but not the former. In the context of this question, it would be beneficial if you were to either cite scripture, or to explain how others have misunderstood specific passages. |

How can one tell if God is in favor of a modern value or not? @SamuelHulick: Specifically, which passsages of Scripture do you mean? It is difficult to answer specific issues without references. |

Is saying “Oh My God” really using God's name in vain? Not only is the phrase using God's name in vain, but it needlessly offends other people, is therefore not loving and is therefore offensive to God on those grounds, too. If you want to get over the habit, I suggest deliberately introducing an inoffensive alternative. "My word!" suffices because it is meaningless AFAIK, or "I'm surprised!" which has the benefit of saying what you actually mean. |

What is the central idea of the Bible? [Paul's] letters contain some things that are hard to understand - 2 Peter 3:16. |
