comment Why did the Lord create Goliath?
@Caleb As far as the covenant nature I think that that at least is implied by some of what I said. But yea its def not the whole story.

I agree with everything that you said, but its late(not sure why I am even up still) and I didn't want to make a 3 page long dissertation.

comment Where is the sermon in a Mormon church service?
Good question but what do you mean by 'even more baptist then baptists'? Just curious.

comment Are there any conditions which make oneself completely unredeemable in the eyes of God?
While your point is valid, the turning of Saul into Paul is a great example of God's love for everyone. You are ignoring the scripture cited by @MasonWheeler which does say blaspheme against the Holy Ghost is not forgivable.

comment Who was the 12th Apostle - Matthais or Paul?
Voting to close. This can not be answered today and backed up with relevant facts. It is just going to lead to arguing between different opinions. Which is not what this site is about.

To claim that Paul is an apostle based completely on his own words. Which were quite prolific (which is why we have so much of them today) is very circumstantial evidence. I am not arguing that he was not inspired and not an apostle, but to unequivocally say that he is and Matthais is not, is very presumptuous. As @MasonWheeler said we simply don't know.

comment What is the Biblical basis and support for and against the view of predestination?
many people would view predestination along the lines of: it doesn't matter what you do, God has already decided where you will end up. I view that all events are willed by God would be more along the lines of the deterministic universe described in philosophy.

comment How do we apply Matthew 12:25
Oh now I see what your saying. My point is the opposite actually. I am saying that they could be using the power of the devil to heal. Where as Christ in this instance used His power to cast out and that resulted in a healing. If a person was possessed the possession could not be ended by someone without Christs power. That's what Christ is saying in the scripture you quoted

comment How do we apply Matthew 12:25
The man was afflicted because of possession. From what the Pharisees said and later what Christ said casting out the devil healed him of the blindness and of being dumb. So the one led to the other.
