comment According to Catholic doctrine, is every woman that has an abortion automatically going to hell?
@MattGutting So your position logically follows that it is a disservice to inform someone that something is a violation of God's law, because if you inform them then the can commit mortal sins, whereas before they couldn't because they did not know? I obviously reject the Vatican II catechism.

comment What are the differences between Mormonism and Islam, and how do Mormons react to comparisons with it?
Both claim their books come from mystical tablets and that the prophet was given a way to read them (Muhammad was illiterate, J. Smith supposedly used a seer-stone). The Muslims believe the tablets in heaven containing the Koran are eternal, and the Mormons believe that the angel Moroni gave golden tablets to Smith.

comment Once a Catholic always a Catholic?
@CharlesAlsobrook A person can be a heretic without disciplinary action. There's formal heresy and material heresy. I think you just made up a new category of "canonical heresy"

comment Once a Catholic always a Catholic?
@user4275 When someone denies a single Dogma they become a heretic. An apostate is someone who rejects the faith completely.

comment What does “gates of hell” mean in Matthew 16:18?
@curiousdannii As a Catholic I understand this Dogma to be not an interpretation, but truth fallen from Heaven. Heresy separates one from the Church and Salvation, so in this sense it is a gate to Hell.

@laovultai Yes, exactly. 1) Baptism 2) Catholic Faith 3) State of Grace

comment Does believing in Jesus Christ save me, or do I have to do something more?
@laovultai I get the reference from the Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, Sess. 8, I am a Catholic and I do not believe in the non-Biblical heresy of faith alone. Matthew 12:36 "But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall render an account for it in the day of judgment"

comment When does the fall of Lucifer from God occur?
@CecilBeckum The Red Dragon is Communism which holds 1/3 of the earth's population in its grasp, which comes on the scene in 1917 the same time the woman clothed in the sun is seen at Fatima.

comment What kind of baptism is essential to salvation, and what does 'essential' mean in this context?
@JackDouglas The Good Thief died under the Old Law. The Just of the Old Testament went to the Limbo of the Fathers until Christ freed them when he descended into Hell. Limbo of the Fathers is a part of Hell but without suffering.
