comment Why did a loving God ask Abraham to kill his own son?
@DickHarfield you're implying just because YOU don't know an answer found in scripture, nobody will know an answer found in scripture, and therefor any answer given will be a matter of opinion. ?

comment Where did the ability to sin come from?
^Agreed, I would attribute it to just the definition of free will, not that God created sin as a creation, but that free will can only exist if we have the right to chose between selfishness and selflessness.

comment What does “two becoming one flesh” refer to?
Curious if the original writing says the two WILL become one flesh. That provides evidence towards it representing a child being conceived in my mind. (And to the other's point, yes this as with most things in the Old Testament is surely referring of something in simile that is to come; that being the union of Christ and the Church at the end of days.)

comment Whose morals are being referenced by NT authors in the expression “sexual immorality”?
Great answer! So when you refer to marriage (i.e. when you said, "What he is warning against is sex in the absence of the covenant and institution God anointed to accompany it.") What exactly do you mean? For example, what about before marital ceremonies existed (when there were only few people on Earth).

comment Does God shape your destiny by the genes you inherit?
I agree with @caseyr547 ... This is a Christian site to discuss Christian matters, and I believe this is a Christian theologic discussion. I think it's ridiculous for any one user to declare what the purpose of this site is and isn't for. I'm upvoting your question because it's one that I've considered often in the debate of Calvanism v Armeniasm.
