Before the fall of Adam, did anything die? As I understand it, in the mind of the Hebrews plants were not living creatures as we and animals are. (I forgot the reference to this statement, sorry.) |

Why do some denominations wash feet before taking communion? I understand your point. Jesus did say, "Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him." (John 13:13-16 KJV) The command is given with the understanding that humility is to characterise our leadership and interactions with others in addition to love. |

Why do some denominations wash feet before taking communion? @DJClayworth - I know that the Seventh-Day Adventist Church performs foot-washing as part of communion according to the example set by Christ in John 13. I know of no other denomination that does this though. |

Why do some churches eat leavened bread and wine for the Lord's Supper? @DavidStratton - I asked this question to clear up any misunderstanding I might have. I was under the impression that most denominations use leavened bread and wine when partaking of this ordinance. I know that the Catholics, New Apostolics, Anglicans, and Seventh-Day Adventists do not eat leavened bread. And the latter also drink grape juice as far as I know. Unfortunately, I do not have list of denominations that use leavened bread. The only church I know of for sure is the Dutch Reformed Church. |

How should Reformed Christians deal with homosexual marriage of individuals prior to their conversion to Christianity? I agree and would like to add that the homosexual couple cannot be baptized members of the church unless they stop living in sin (Isaiah 1:16-17a). They have to accept that their union is not ordained by God and surrender to His will. |
