How should a Christian look at the Crusaders? Also, saying that, "The Pope's word was law" really isn't accurate in any sense of the word... ever. |

How should a Christian look at the Crusaders? -1 for the, "It happened because they couldn't read the Bible." Many of the leaders of the crusades could and did read the Bible. |

God created male and female… What about those who do not fit in the box? Not all sins are equal. See the first epistle of St. John where he differentiates sins "unto death" and sins "which are not unto death" |

Can a Christian have clinical depression? @JonEricson The biggest thing which we (as Christians) must remember is that we are not defined by our emotions. If we were, then we would all need to dispair if we are not in a perpetual Jesus high. No, defining your relationship with God or even your personality as something which is controlled by a rather temperamental (get it?) organ dangerously borders on sentimentalist materialism. The matter in heaven is a very different substance from the matter on earth and attachment to this life (and its emotions) will only distract us and draw us further from the divine union. |

Can a Christian have clinical depression? @JonEricson I'm only starting to be open about it relatively recently. There is a stigma associated with bipolar and I am (was?) a little paranoid about it. |

Vacillating passion for Christ "bipolar" is inappropriate in context. It is a medical condition and none of the symptoms are obviously present in the question. |

Is it wrong that Jesus is usually portrayed as European looking? If this were another forum, I would take real issue with these people calling themselves, "scientists." Archeologists? Maybe. Historians? Possibly. Scientists? Doubtful. Where's the rigor? |

Is there a record of an association of prayer with pain? Hoping that less pastoral will get someone to actually answer. |
