I am a scripting language connoisseur, regular expression aficionado, network geek, general lover of Linux and a frequent contributor to open source software. I transitioned to programming from other work because I was too busy automating my own work environment to actually do the other work. I have a hobby interest in cartography. For more see my personal site. Most importantly, my life is defined by the grace of God given to men through Jesus Christ. It is my ambition that everything I do would reflect His glory and point people towards Him.

comment How do you explain our existence when you say that God is almighty?
Salvation isn't man faithfully doing anything. The whole problem is that man wasn't faithful in the first place. The faithful party in the equation is God and if anybody went towards anybody, it was God coming to earth and living as a man that was the big "move towards".

Do you want the word definition or the scope of the role/title as understood by Christianity?

comment How does Christianity view a Christian who converts to Islam
That quote says the opposite of the point you are trying to make. That verse is saying that Muslims should NOT believe that Jesus was anything more than a messanger. The term Messiah means savior, not just a messanger and in Christianity is the one who has the power to restore a relationship between God and men. This is NOT the role that Islam believes him to have, er to they do not believe he is THE messiah "like Christians" as you assert.

You can skip the quote, I'm well aware of what it says. The point is that by "messiah" it does not mean the same thing as Christians do, and you are misusing the definite article in English. Note that I italicized that in my first comment.

Technically this is a valid question, but you've made complete junk out of it by stuffing the question full of false premises. Muslims do not believe Jesus to be the Messiah nor hold the Gospels as fundamental to their faith. It is not possible to convert to an incompatible belief system and still "retain" other beliefs (the word 'convert' should be a tip off). If you want to know how Christianity views people who leave the religion just ask about that and stop stuffing everything you write full of propaganda. Until them, -1 because this low quality is not useful to future visitors.

comment Is it possible for non Jew to join Messianic Judaism?
@caseyr547: Messianic Judaism is most commonly considered as being under the umbrella of Christianity rather than Judaism by scholars from both sides. Whether the question stands or falls here, I think it would fair even worse on Mi Yodeya. If you can think of a reason it should not be asked here, we can close but migration isn't a good plan here.

You've already answered that question: of course trinatiarians do not find a non-trinatarian view "acceptable" otherwise they wouldn't be trinatarians. As for the other different question about what Christianity thinks of modern day Judaism, I already explained that question would have to be scoped more specifically because there are several views on how Jews fit into God's plan of salvation. In other words you have "question" so specific you haven't even left room for it to be a real question question and one open ended question with no scope.

What do you expect to learn about Christianity from this question? Right now your entire question is premised on an answer that you've included in the question already. Obviously those who believe in a Triune God think those who don't are wrong on that point. What is there left to answer? What are you trying to learn or accomplish?

Beyond that problem, there are many different takes on Judaism within the scope of "Christianity". You're going to need to focus this on some specific issue before it would be a good fit for this site.

comment Do Jews and Christians worship the same God?
This question as currently worded is fundamentally different than the one you compare it to and some combination of not constructive/off topic. The other question asks specifically about Christian doctrine and is answerable even without resolving differences between Christian traditions. This question on the other hand seems to be more about raising awareness for a cause than learning something about Christianity. It is neither Christianity's nor this sites job to "reconcile" the views of modern Jews and Christians.

The net response is not clearly "no", and the motivation for the question is irrelevant. The first couple lines of questions are used as a summary and should not contain irrelevant meta information but dig into the question.

@RyanFrame Looks like some words got scrambled in the editing process. I fixed it, thanks for the heads up.
