Where does the belief that the Earth is relatively young (6000 years) come from? I am not going to argue from the point of view of Faith, as you are free to believe what you want, however the "scientific" points you are trying to make are completely incorrect and incoherent. You should refrain from making those points if they are not about Faith and they are provably incorrect. |

Can I believe in evolution and still be a Christian? I think the "problems" you mention are only problems for specific literalist interpretations of the Bible, which are problematic on many levels anyways. The major Christian religion (the Catholics) does not have a problem whatsoever with evolution. I think this is worth mentioning as a major point, but your answer presents it as just another alternative. This is misleading. |
