comment Where does the belief that the Earth is relatively young (6000 years) come from?
@roland: just because somebody disagrees with evolution, it doesn't make it any less fact. people who disbelieve it, do so because of faith (i.e. they believe in something even in the face of contrary evidence). Regarding "picking the nits": presenting opinions in the form of facts does not make this site better; furthermore the largest majority of Christians do not have any problem with evolution. Nobody wants this site to be "creationism.SE".

comment If Adam and Eve were perfect, why did they choose to sin?
Lucifer is an angel, is he perfect as well?

comment How does the Bible explain the existence of fossils that are millions of years old?
They were quite likely known, as they are very commonly found in marble. The main point is, IMHO, why should the bible be concerned with fossils? Or any other scientific endeavour?

I am not going to argue from the point of view of Faith, as you are free to believe what you want, however the "scientific" points you are trying to make are completely incorrect and incoherent. You should refrain from making those points if they are not about Faith and they are provably incorrect.

comment Is Christianity a monotheistic religion?
What about intercessory prayer? Isn't that a form of worship of the Saints?

comment Can I believe in evolution and still be a Christian?
I think the "problems" you mention are only problems for specific literalist interpretations of the Bible, which are problematic on many levels anyways. The major Christian religion (the Catholics) does not have a problem whatsoever with evolution. I think this is worth mentioning as a major point, but your answer presents it as just another alternative. This is misleading.
