I'm a programmer by day and a genealogist by night, but mostly I'm a husband and father. I'm also a Mormon.

comment What is the difference between being blessed and being happy?
You might consider rewording the title of the question. I feel like it doesn't encompass everything in the body.

comment How can Jesus, born of mankind, be sinless?
Did you mean to say, "Jesus did not inherit the sin nature"?

comment Do Paul and Jesus disagree on homosexuality?
Its not very clear how your five points directly relate to this point: "That said, Jesus has made a stand and voiced opposition against homosexuality."

comment Do Paul and Jesus disagree on homosexuality?
I think you're making too many assumptions here. Such as: Christ only taught what we have recorded in the gospels; Christ only shared with Paul what we have recorded in the gospels. Those are pretty large assumptions.

comment When did Christmas (the birth of Christ) first begin as a Christian celebration?
Good question but I think its asking for too much. You might take the last question about traditions that don't celebrate it and make it a new question that also asks why they don't celebrate.

comment According to the Mormon doctrines, who created the universe?
"So, the one true God could not have been the creator of the universe." I don't understand how you come to that conclusion.

comment What is the Catholic view of the rapture?
Why would the judgement have to be the final judgement? Why can't it be similar to the particular judgement?

comment What is the Catholic view of the rapture?
I don't see how the doctrines of the Rapture and the Final Judgement are incompatible. Could you expound upon that point?

comment Is 1 Thessalonians 4:17 the only verse that supports the rapture?
Your last sentence has an error; I can't quite tell what you're trying to say

@DavidStratton I'm on it.

comment What do Southern Baptists believe about Predestination?
After these two Baptist questions I'm beginning to think that a better question would be, "Do Southern Baptists agree on anything?"

comment What is the difference between Protestantism and Evangelicalism?
@Caleb Are there any definitions that are remotely considered the most common?

comment What is the difference between a covenant and a contract?
While the informal/formal covenant distinction aides in understanding, the LDS church doesn't make that distinction themselves in their canon lds.org/search?lang=eng&query=informal+formal+covenants

comment What is the theological background of the WWJD movement?
@dancek "but the contention is whether it's the same for everyone in all circumstances as it was for Jesus." You might want to clarify in your question that you're considering the question literally. Some may interpret WWJD? as "How can I be Christ-like in this situation?"

comment How is love greater than faith?
@Flimzy I don't think I'm making the assumptions you claim. The question has been edited. Is it more clear now?

comment What is the historical reason the King James Version was created?
BYU also sponsored a 3-part documentary about it. byutv.org/show/123d4a82-3d47-488e-beda-2496a5a1ff2c

comment What is the Catholic concept of grace?
Great answer. But the sentence about Moses and gratuitous grace is a bit confusing; too many commas.

comment In Matthew 26:63-64, does the high priest think that the Messiah is Son of God?
@DJClayworth That's why I think it should go to Judiasm.SE because I'm under the impression that the OP wants the historical Jewish perspective.

I vote for moving it to Judaism.SE too.
