I'm a programmer by day and a genealogist by night, but mostly I'm a husband and father. I'm also a Mormon.

comment LDS Church and Genealogy Research (What is the connection?)
@warren I used to work for FamilySearch in the department that deals with partner organizations. Those in the genealogy industry know that FS and Ancestry once had a strained relationship, which would make no sense if they were owned by the same entity. Being primarily owned and staffed by Mormons who live in Utah != owned by the LDS Church. Also, Permira is European based: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permira

comment Is it easy to live a Christian life?
@fredsbend Last time I tried that I got yelled at for modifying a question that already had answers. So I have no plans to modify this one either. I'm perfectly okay with it being closed/deleted. That's probably the easier route anyways.

@Matt I just removed the lds tag in hopes that other sects might have some insight.

@Brian_Drozd I appreciate the insight. It's likely that your answer is correct, but I'm looking for something that authoritatively says so. We know that only Christ could redeem us from sin because he was without sin, but I don't know of any scriptures that explain how and why his perfection was also necessary for the resurrection.

@Matt If the answer were to differ between sects, I would prefer an LDS answer. Though I am open to anybody with insight.
