comment Christian treatments of the fact-value distinction
Thanks. In posing my question, I saw the fact-value distinction as an insurmountable obstacle to arriving at a common morality, as it seems to be for rationalists. I see that the distinction that you refer to is not so much of a problem, since a Christian is obligated to seek the coming of God's kingdom on earth. So I'm guessing it is a non-issue for Christians.

comment Is Tim Keller's view of idolatry Biblical?
Note: I am not too sure of the context of Paul's statement mentioned above, as it only just now came to my mind. I'm still trying to understand what Paul meant.

comment Sodom and Gomorrah and God's judgement in the Christian age
@khanahk: I don't know where you think good things come from. If you posit that God is the source of all the goodness that ever existed, exists and will exist (as the Bible does), then it seems pretty clear that good fortune can only come from Him.

comment Sodom and Gomorrah and God's judgement in the Christian age
I guess another way to reason it out is to say that not all misfortune that befalls a Christian city or nation is willed by God.
