For the grace of God has appeared for the salvation of all men, training us to renounce irreligion and worldly passions, and to live sober, upright, and godly lives in this world, awaiting our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ - Titus 2:11-13

comment What practical effect do stock worship phrases, like “God be magnified”, have?
Reading thiis answer and my comment again, I am touched, tears in my eyes. I/We have starved God of quality/true worship

comment Does the Bible say anything about our human relations being kept after death?
I don't believe this is what Paul meant here. I believe he was talking about seeing Jesus or heavenly mysteries face to face instead of all these guessing we sometimes do here on earth. We will finally see how the Father looks like.

comment Why are some miracles hard to explain and some are not?
I came up with those categories because I believe God is not a magician, so we should be able to explain those miracles in the light of his powers (what we know + His ability to manipulate them)

@SȱɳɨȼƮħeǶḝÐɠḝħȱɠ Liked your jokes :-) You could part the Red Sea if you had a device that could wind-blow the sea apart (a super-helicopter-blades) :-)

Solomon's temple took less: committedtotruth.wordpress.com/2009/09/22/… - 7-8 years

My question was based on the dedication of people of those times, and I believed this should have made them to finish it earlier. Didn't know the government had hand in it. According to this link, Solomon's temple took lesser time: committedtotruth.wordpress.com/2009/09/22/…

Thank You! There is so much details the bible writers sometimes leave out and does not make the bible historian-friendly but it's enough to make those who have faith (without looking for rational facts) believe. Like I could not believe Jesus should be 13 when he was speaking here - with authority to elders. Was thinking he should be about 30.

comment Why did God create the great flood?
@FFCoder I believed it was all planned by God himself. We are in a phase of test and if we passed, we are moved on to the next stage - heaven/new world. The ones that failed will be destroyed (hell fire, etc). We are pawns in this game, valuable pawns - Why was Jesus(the Lamb) killed before the foundation of the earth (Read that in Revelation)

comment Idolatry in churches allowed?
"idols" and "images" are two different things... they are carrying the images of biblical entities

I think you need to provide a summary of what that link contains instead of posting the link. This is because the link could be broken in the future

comment Making a vow and defaulting - is there forgiveness?
Jephtah couldn't have withdrawn his vow and asked for forgiveness. Hannah also made a hard vow but she kept it faithfully and believe she was glad she did. When one is in Jephtah position, one would not go away with it?
