comment Why should a sinner suffer forever in hell fire?
@Steve I am. You ask about what would happen if the drill were to continue forever. I intended to ask, "What if the thing which is worse than the dentist's drill were to continue forever?" The drill would then seem like a welcome alternative.

comment What evidence is there that the Chinese script reflects a knowledge of Genesis 1-11?
Yea. I'd definitely +1 this if I had a reference.

@Steve What if the cavity were never to cease?

comment Was the apostle Peter martyred in Rome?
More than just Rome believes it: the Orthodox Church, and the Oriental Church, and the Anglican churches all attest to this.

comment Why is faith so much more important than being a good person?
@eldersouth "Damnation for all outside of the Church" isn't exactly the majority opinion of Christians.

comment What does it mean to be “born of water” in John 3:5?
@Matt So you are saying that those who die in the womb are specifically excluded from heaven? That seems harsh.

comment Did Mary die, or was she translated like Enoch and Elijah?
@Warren Jude 1:9 But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, disputed about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a reviling judgment upon him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you.". If Moses had just been assumed, the devil would not be able to dispute the body.

comment Do Roman Catholics believe Saints are omnipresent?
@warren The question is a simple "yes" or "no". And while it is always best to have "yes/no + explain" that's very different animal from "yes/no/provide an impassioned defense."

@warren I have two counter-questions. 1. Where in scripture does it say that scripture is the pillar and foundation of truth? 2. Where in the question is it asking for Biblical justification for an answer? Since the answer to both is "nowhere", and assuming you genuinely want the answer, it seems advisable that a new question be written.

@DJClayworth As to "my view or Catholic view" there is no divergence here. I articulated the Catholic perspective.
