Why worship saints / Mary / Angels? I believe @Fofole is actually talking about kneelers and not chairs. He is also making a dubious assumption that the dead are not able to witness the actions of the living and that they are unable to intercede based on that. A counter might be the story of the rich man and Lazarus: the rich man (who was not a particularly good person) both observed his brethren and interceded on their behalf. If we assume that this parable has the same level of realism as the other parables, then we must accept that the righteous can and do pray on our behalf. |

What theological statement would be made if the Creeds preceded the homily? @Alypius OTOH, GIRM #71 allows the priest to write his own prayer extemporaneously (meaning it could actually be a homily in disguise) and #74 does not provide substantial guidance on the content of the chants to exclude a long lecture (though it is implied that it would have to be an intoned lecture). |

To which Saints may a Catholic pray, and when can this begin? And to reinforce this comment: Canonization is helpful only for people on this earth to recognize a saint, it does not give special powers to people in heaven. I wholeheartedly agree. One can even expand on this by saying that when a Saint is canonized that is a recognition of the Saint's intercessory ability, it is not giving special abilities to someone who does not already have it. |

To which Saints may a Catholic pray, and when can this begin? As a note on note 2: there is actually quite a bit of evidence for a number of Saints who were formerly on the calendar. In the case of Valentine in particular, there is overwhelming evidence that he existed. I think his removal more had to do with imprudence and the lack of specificity of which saint was venerated. |

What are the theological implications of “filioque”? Also, saying that the RCC believes that the procession from the Father is the same as the procession from the Son (as opposed to two separate actions with two very distinct characters) is an equivocation at best. |

What are the theological implications of “filioque”? @gmoothart I know that this is late in coming but it should be noted that the analogy of "Spirit is the love between them" is an Augustinian thought. It well predates the Synod in Toledo which introduced the Filioque. |

What theological statement would be made if the Creeds preceded the homily? I do not believe that the sitting is in the GIRM officially, and I wouldn't be surprised if the pausing wasn't in their either. Both are good things, but they might only be liturgical good practice and not Church standard. |

In Catholicism, what are the different kinds of sins? (Specific dispensation is not an actual requirement for Sundays. If there is a genuine emergency or a inability to attend (say you are stranded on some desert island) you are not expected to go (though you should still pray)) |

Do not boil a goat in its mothers milk As a note: people who are lactose intolerant are generally able to drink goat's milk. Cow's milk is the problem. |
