I am a young man in love with Jesus Christ, because he has loved me so much, more than one can imagine. I often kneel in awe and reverence before Christ on the cross. Seeing him on the cross shows me how much he loved me and continues to love me. Seeing him on the cross, my complaints cease and I just look at him, in love, in awe, in wonder. I see love itself, hanging on a cross. I love him, because he has loved me first.

comment Why didn't God reveal all the answers to life?
+1 Exactly the same scripture verse that I was thinking of. God wants to glorify us. So he hides many things, including himself, so that we can search them/him out.

@Narnian, the average height of an Israelite in those days was 5 feet 2 inches as per a documentary I had seen.

Goliath wasn't that tall. Other Old Testament manuscripts as well as Josephus the Jewish historian gave a shorter height - bibleapologetics.wordpress.com/2011/01/30/how-tall-was-goliath

comment Where did the notion that Adam and Eve ate an APPLE come from?
I remember a sermon from Fulton Sheen where he mentioned that the reason was the similarity between the Latin words as you mentioned.

comment In which denominations do people consider Mary, mother of Jesus, to be the “Second Eve”?
Catholicism for sure considers Mary to be the New Eve. I don't know who else. Maybe even the Orthodox.

comment Do Luke 1:48 and Luke 11:27-28 contradict each other?
It is true that Mary is blessed by virtue of the fact that she gave birth to Jesus, but the Biblical account seems to indicate that her blessedness proceeds from the moment of her faith.
