comment The “eye of the needle gate” today
Yeah. It's the classic answer. But the farest back you can trace that someone spoke of such a gate is the middle age. That is what any lexicon will tell you. So if you think otherwise I need some cited source :-)

comment The extent of different approaches to Revelation
@Caleb I misread your comment at first. I'm mostly interested in present day Christianity. I do think the history of those different views/approaches are interesting. But that's another question. But I don't think the statistic of historic Christianity is that interesting. I have updated the question.

comment Does the Dome of the Rock have any importance to Christianity?
It may also be good to know that a lot of Jews don't believe in building a new temple (including the chief Rabbi in Jerusalem) they are perfectly happy with the western wall as I understand it.

It's a big question so even if you only can give a part of an answer - That's great. :)

comment Does the Holy Spirit ever choose not to lead?
@GregMcNulty That's a whole other question. But you could start a new question if you want to. Hint: The Holy Spirit can lead in different way. If for example two different ppl that don't know each other tells you something very specific they think the Spirit want's to tell you. You have no reason to suspect that it's your "environmentally programmed subconscious".

comment What are the differences between the different millenialisms?
@Caleb: How do the Historic Premillennialism see the part about that Satan "must be set free for a short time" in Rev 20:3? I always find it hard to see why he will be released if the creation already have been restored.

You made a great point that I have to spend some time thinking about. Thanks! :-)

Yeah. But that makes it kind of strange to hear this hybrid theory where this pastor says that there is no way a camel could get through that gate. So in the end his interpretation is the same as mine.
