comment Biblical basis for baptism as a prerequisite for salvation
The title of verse 10-17 is called A Church Divided Over Leaders. Paul is not addressing baptism itself, but rather the reason why he didn't baptize: to avoid division. "Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul?"

comment How can one overcome lustful desires?
"...freedom to obey the law in all it's meaning because I no longer desire in my heart to break the law." This just blew my mind.

comment The voice of God vs the voice of Satan
@Flimzy Good point. It would appear that the movies have it all wrong; God has a roaring voice and Satan is a smooth talker.

comment What is the specific meaning of “day” in Genesis 1?
One thing to take into account: How do you define evening and morning? By the rotation of the Earth, correct? Well I don't know how fast the Earth was rotating when God was creating it so "evening and morning" doesn't necessarily mean 24 hours.

comment Can I believe in evolution and still be a Christian?
When you say "evolution" do you mean the Theory of Evolution as the origin of species, or just that a species can evolve and change?

I thought I would point out that the hebrew word for "day" (yom) can mean a period of time. So six days really mean six segments of time, not necessarily six 24-hour periods of time.

comment Is pride and boasting ever okay?
I think it really comes down to intentions. Are you boasting to build yourself up, or to bring glory to God? The two aren't mutually exclusive but you should think about it.

comment Are there multiple levels to Heaven?
I don't think that reward each person according to what they have done is the same as different levels of heaven. That could mean everything they have done, or just one thing they have done and the reward could be different levels, or just a singular reward that you either receive or don't receive. I just thought I would point out how that could be interpreted.
