Why does Jesus not want people to repent and be forgiven in Mark 4? I did some major editing. I hope I didn't change your original intent. |

Why does Jesus not want people to repent and be forgiven in Mark 4? I think you can expand on this even more by adding Matthew 13 which is the same event (Parabal of the Sower), written a little differently. I think Matthew explains it better Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah. |

Why does Jesus not want people to repent and be forgiven in Mark 4? I upvoted but I think you should get rid of the intro since it is not relevant to the question or your answer. Also, it would be nice if you added your own words after the quote. |

Is Christianity functionally polytheistic? It sounds like you already have the answer "yes" in your mind, while it sounds like many other people have the answer "no" in their mind. This just an opinion. As interesting as the question is, I don't think it is answerable. This site is not meant to be a discussion. You can go in chat or find a forum for discussion. |

Why doesn't the bible prohibit slavery? Great answer! This one actually references the bible. I don't know why the other answer has such high ratings. |

How many Christians have actually read the whole Bible? You might want to start with "how many people have read the Bible in its entirety?" Then you could try to figure out what percentage of those identify themselves as Christians. |

Are the images we draw of Jesus correct? There is book (based on a true story) called "Heaven Is For Real" which might interest you. It is about a 3-year-old child who gets very sick and dies (kind of) on the operating table for a bit. He claims he met Jesus and can describe heaven in detail (from a 3-year-old's perspective of course). |

If one divorces is it considered adultery to marry again no matter what the circumstances were for this decision? Related question: Under what conditions does the Bible support divorce? |

Is having a moment of silence for someone anti-Christian? Whenever someone claims something is anti-Christian or against the Bible, I just ask them "Why?" If you get a verse, you can look it up. If you get an opinion then it's just an opinion. |

Source of Christian attitudes towards fantasy and role playing games To tie this answer in with the question a little better: "fantasy and role playing games" generally require more time to play. A game of Dungeons and Dragons could take days where most card games take minutes or hours. A video game like World of Warcraft can take months to level up a character to get to certain areas, where a game like Call of Duty takes about 15 minutes to play a round. Not only are these games typically longer, but role playing seems to replace real life and players might use the game as an escape from real life (much like a drug). |

Why is the number three special? @danek: I don't think an age is significant, but technically, you're right. |

How would a Christian explain the “contradiction” of homosexuality? So to sum that up, the OP said "love is the most important thing" which is not completely correct. Loving God is the most important thing and loving God means obeying his commands. |

Why is the number three special? That answers more than one. I think it answers the "Peter denies knowing Jesus 3 times and later says he loves him 3 times" since repetition implies importance. |

Who created God? +1 for Revelation 22:13. That's the first thing that came to my mind. All the other verses are great, but I feel this one is very clear. Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." |

Do we have to obey the laws of the bible? If so, what laws? @Jürgen: Haha 42! I've never heard that used in a Christian context, but I like it. |

Abraham tries to sacrifice his son. Is exploiting a human a moral behaviour? @user I don't see how praying is proving his faith. Your prove your faith by doing what the Lord commands you to do. James 2:14-26 says Faith without works is dead. In fact, this very event (Abraham and Issac) is referred to in verse 21! Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? The story is to be taken literally: have faith in the Lord, even when it doesn't make sense to you at the time. Trust him because he is smarter than any human will ever be. |

Does God need our praise and glory? When the bible says "gods" with a lowercase g, it is usually referring to idols (see Greek Mythology). This is stated in verse 5: For all the gods of the nations are idols.... Greek gods are just myths and worshiping them is wasted reverence. Praise the one, true God because He is The Creator and is WORTHY of praise. |
