comment Does God have the capacity to sin? Can God sin?
Asking if God can sin is like asking, "Can God microwave a burrito so hot, that he himself cannot eat it." I answer that question like, Yes he can microwave it that hot, but he can also eat it too.

God not only detests sin, but lukewarm believers. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth. (Rev 3:16) Your reference to eating rotten garbage reminded me of this verse.

comment If Adam and Eve were perfect, why did they choose to sin?
@MasonWheeler: David claims he was sinful at birth in Psalm 51 but this could be a mistranslation in the NIV. The same word is also translated as pain, formed, dance, etc...

comment In creation of the earth and mankind, how much thought was put into this?
This question brings up a lot of other questions like does God have to think, the same way a human would think. Or does omniscience prevent the need/ability to think the way humans think?

comment Is it sinful to prophesy using the Bible?
I know right? Whenever people say we are in end times I wonder how it is worse than WWII.

comment How to answer “Why do evil and suffering exist?”
Whenever I hear "I can't believe in a God who would..." I think of Francis Chan who responded by saying something like, "who would what? Do something you wouldn't do? Is it possible that you are not perfect, you are not God, and he might do something that you wouldn't do?"

comment Did God create darkness?
+1 for Isaiah 45:7. I think you could have left some of that other stuff out or supported it with verses.

comment Are some people created to go to Hell?
@Jared: Did you read 1 Peter 4:6 and 1 Peter 3:18-19? I think you are making quite a leap to use those verses as support.

comment What's the point of the tenth commandment?
I can see how they are strongly related but coveting is not swallowed up by stealing (or even vice versa). You can covet something and not steal it. And you can steal something that you don't even want.

The thought of God "mooning" Moses made me laugh.

comment Do I have to attend church every Sunday?
I just heard a really interesting sermon this week. The church is not a building where we sit each week and invite others; we are the church and we bring it to others. We're supposed to meet people where they are at. That being said, meeting once a week at the same time can be a good way to get filled so you can fill others. Meeting on Sunday mornings is not a requirement and many churches have several services (mornings, evenings, etc) if you have other commitments (like scouts).

Interesting analogy. I've never heard that one before but I like it. Get fed by the spirit with your community.

Seriously, we have a lot of ways to grab the attention of the listener.

I'm guessing you want something beyond Jesus quoting scripture in his teachings?

comment How did Noah preserve fresh water fish?
@AffableGeek: Who said fresh water fish were created before the flood? I guess that would be a different question (evolution and what have you).

comment Is God capable of ever doing wrong?
@rpeg: God is God. Read Exodus 3:14 (or all of Exodus 3 for that matter). God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”

comment How did Noah preserve fresh water fish?
I think this is the answer. Noah didn't do anything to preserve the fish/animals in the seas/lakes. He only took two of each land animal and flying animal on the ark.

comment Why the difference in depiction of the cross between Catholics and Protestants?
Another way to put it is: a lot of people have died for their beliefs (we call them martyrs) but only one has risen.
